1. What we collect

We collect: the email address you sign up with; your first name, if you choose to give it; your country, read automatically from Cloudflare's cf-ipcountry request header; the account ID your broker assigns you, also called a UID, if you submit one for broker verification; your Discord username, if you connect or share it; your progress through lessons; and your Whop membership status. We do not collect payment card details; Whop handles those directly and we never see them.

2. Why we collect it

We use your email to create and secure your account and to send access and billing-related messages, and, if you agree, news about AMCrypto. We use your country to apply geographic rules, including the United Kingdom access rule. We use your broker UID to verify your broker account by hand and unlock the free tier. We use your Discord username to manage your access to the community. We use your lesson progress to show you where you left off. We use your Whop membership status to determine whether you have free or Pro access.

3. Legal basis

4. Who processes your data

The following companies process member data on our behalf:

  • Supabase: our database and sign-in system.
  • Whop: billing and membership management.
  • Discord: the community.
  • Bunny Stream: video hosting.
  • Brevo: email.
  • Cloudflare: hosting, content delivery, and reading your country from the request header. Cloudflare Web Analytics also processes data, only if we turn it on.
  • Google: sign-in, only if we turn that option on.

5. Retention

TODO(Alex): exact retention periods per data type (counsel). Broker UIDs and Discord usernames are a narrow exception: we keep those only for as long as we need them to verify your broker account and manage your community access, and remove them when that purpose ends or you close your account, whichever comes first.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or ask us to stop processing it. You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link in any message we send. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in section 11 below.

7. Cookies

We use cookies only to keep you signed in; these are strictly necessary session cookies, not advertising or tracking cookies. We do not run advertising cookies or ad-tracking pixels. Because no tool on the site currently requires consent, we do not show a cookie banner; if that changes, for example if we turn on an analytics or advertising tool that requires consent, we will add one before turning it on.

8. Children

AMCrypto is for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we learn that someone under 18 has given us personal data, we will delete it.

9. International data transfers

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as AMCrypto changes or the law requires. When we make a material change, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where practical, tell members through the site or by email.
